Everyway Tee and Tunic Sewing Pattern

Here’s the knitty gritty on my newest sewing pattern design!

So, I really can’t lie. I’m sorta picky. Okay, I’m very picky. Excessively picky.  When I was little, my mom would have to stop in the middle of the grocery store to allow me to fix a wrinkle in my sock.  I’m sure I would be labeled with sensory processing disorder if I were born in this decade.  It’s probably why I am so adept at tying my shoes to this day…but I digress.  This affinity to bring all things into perfection, or obsessive compulsiveness to fix and refashion has been channeled into productivity!  Introducing, the Everyway Tee & Tunic Pattern!  An easy pdf sewing pattern for women of all shapes, sizes and season in life.

After shopping for maternity clothes with surprise baby #5, I was fed up with paying $35 for a maternity t-shirt that was thin and low cut and too short and required a $17 maternity cami to go under it. Thus ensuring that once the baby arrived I would never wear it again….those trickers at Motherhood Maternity laugh all the way to the bank.  Ery Day.

I want to be comfortable, modest, and fashionable.   Who doesn’t right?  That means leggings are involved.  But have you seen the video about leggings? Leggings ARE NOT PANTS. My butt needs some coverage….all our mom butts need coverage. We birthed babies. We are not perfect! I’m ignoring the 20% of you that look like supermodels 5 minutes after giving birth and did pregnancy yoga and stuff. It’s genetic elitism.  I worked out till month 7.  At a certain point your body is going to store some fat for nursing. (Mine is located in the “saddle bag” area.  My babies give me lovely mini marshmallow thighs.)

Also, I need a nice drape over the belly. After the baby comes out, our mummy tummies need some time to recover.  It’s ok.  We make people. Plus, it allows for easy nursing.

So, this tunic and tee sewing pattern solves all those pesky problems for us! Not too loose and not too tight. Covers your rear if you want it to. Tee length (if your the lucky 20%). Short or Just above the elbow length sleeve options.  There is an optional style panel on the front sides for lace, or contrasting fabric.  A placket in the back of the pattern allows for ease and stretch.  It’s got a shaped silhouette.  It can be made with dressy or casual knit.  Below is the tee with one side panel in solid and elbow sleeves.

Head over to my Etsy shop or to Craftsy to get it today!  Happy Sewing! I’ll have a tutorial up soon.

P. S. Don’t be afraid of knits!

-My tunic pics are made from Art Gallery Fabric by April Rhodes. The tee fabric is organic knit by Birch Fabrics.
